About This Site
This is an independent guide to the aurora borealis tour Rovaniemi operators run between late August and early April. It exists because the listings all repeat the same four words, 100% guaranteed sightings, and none of them explain what happens at eleven at night when the cloud refuses to break. Why this site exists
Every operator page in Rovaniemi sells the same promise. Read four of them and you still cannot answer the questions that decide your evening: how many people share the van, how far the driver may go, who collects you from the hotel, and what the guarantee actually refunds.
So we put those columns side by side and wrote down the parts the listings bury, including the line in Book Lapland's own fine print stating that aurora visibility cannot be guaranteed and is not a basis for refunds. Knowing that before you book changes how you plan the week.
How the tours get checked
Four operators sell aurora hunts out of Rovaniemi through GetYourGuide and Viator, and all four are on this site. We filtered none of them out; with a field this small, dropping one would hide either the cheapest ticket or the smallest group. What we verify before a tour stays listed:
